Teaching

Currently, I teach programming fundamentals and machine learning to undergrade commerce students. In my teaching, my goal is to help students acquire the skills they need to work confidently and responsibly with data. To do this, I use live coding to walk students through real-world case studies, making the decision-making process and value of business analytics visible to students. Once students have mastered the programming fundamentals, I emphasize the importance of data literacy skills, like asking good questions, evaluating data quality, interpreting results, and communicating uncertainty, because these skills are essential for making sound decisions and avoiding overconfident or misleading conclusions.

Previously, as a doctoral student in economics, I taught microeconomic theory and emphasized applying economic analysis to real-world problems while communicating insights clearly to non-expert audiences.
